Crackdown against hundreds of corrupt government employees in Saudi Arabia

386 arrested, several charged with corruption and illicit use of powers.

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) A few years ago, a large number of fishermen were involved in corruption, including several well-known investors and Saudi princes. Now once again Saudi authorities have launched a big crackdown against corrupt elements, most of which are bringing shame to those held in important government positions.
Saudi website Lesson reported that 386 people have been arrested on corruption charges and corruption by the monitoring agency and misappropriation of their powers of office. The culprits have also been charged with a crime. The Department of Anti-Corruption said it was investigating a further 475 people held in government positions to exceed their positions.


If any of them were found to be involved in corruption, more people would be arrested and prosecuted. Separate cases will be prosecuted for those arrested who are accused of money laundering, loss of public property, illegal collection of wealth and abuse of powers. Those arrested are said to be involved in a total of 170 million rials of corruption.

In total, 1294 persons were questioned in dozens of cases of alleged corruption. After identifying the culprits, they have been brought before the courts and charged. Neither betrayal will be allowed in this trust. No corrupt person or element can survive any longer than the snare of the law. It should be noted that the trend of reporting corruption cases in the state has increased manifold over the past. This has led to great success in exposing corrupt elements and punishing them.
